Listening Diary: Feature Video#2

April 15, 2021

Hiya! Welcome to Johanna the Elephant!🐘 This blog will still talking about a feature video from YouTube I watched on Thursday. The clip is entitled "A Brief History of the Devil"😈  on TED-Ed (https://youtu.be/5_To7wO0Exo). The story is told by Brian A. Pavlac. Let's read the summary!⬇⬇
One of the Devil
There are three kinds of devil. They are Satan -based on the Bible-, Lucifer, and Mephistopheles. Their appearance changes from time to time. As it depends on some old artists' preferences about the devil. The devil still stalks people's imagination to create new versions of them.
💭💭💭
Actually, I got to know for the first time about the three main kinds of devil through this story. I have never heard about Mephistopheles before. Also, usually I only hear about Kuntilanak, Pocong, and other kinds of Satan that are popular in Indonesia. I think this video could be helpful for those who like to write horror stories or create horror movies.
❔❔❔
Through this video, I learnt some new words, they are: subterranean lair, torments, scant, medieval, epitome, behemoth, depicted, and grisly.
In other words, the appearance of a devil is depended on our imagination about it. Now, it is time to end the blog. If you want to know more about the story, you can search it on YouTube or simply click the link on the first paragraph. See you!🐘
