Listened on February 26, 2021
Hiya! Welcome to the third Johanna the Elephant’s special
listening diary!๐ In this listening diary, I would like to share a drama short
story from YouTube. It is entitled “Miss Perfect” by Sharifah Amira and Jin Lim.
You can find it on JinnyboyTV (YouTube channel) or https://youtu.be/8C1Y3NDaIak. Now, let’s read the
summary.๐
Miss Perfect |
Michael, a first-year college student who is searching
a perfect girl. He attends several blind dates with different kind of girl.
However, he does not find ‘the perfect girl’. In his first class in college, he
meets a girl who is far from is ideal type. Nevertheless, that girl can melt
his heart.
๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
For me, this can be my favorite short film. The story
line is related to our daily life. We can understand that here is no ‘perfect
girl’ in this world. Also, the movie is enjoyable and funny. However, their
English is a bit hard to hear and understand because of their accent.
To make this listening diary special, I will write the
new version of “Miss Perfect”:
There
is a college student named Michael. He is interested in finding a perfect girl
after he watched a movie called “Para Para Sakura”. Thus, he asks his sister’s
help to schedule blind dates for him. However, he does not succeed to find the
girl he wants.
Michael is so depressed. When he enters his first class, he sits with a girl. This girl’s name is Natalie. She is far from Michael’s ideal type. At first, Michael does not want to be bothered by her. However, after the time goes by, he becomes comfortable around her.
One day, his friend asks Michael what has happened to him. Michael is confused. Then, his friend explains that he has been seeing Michael talks alone. Michael is angry, why would he talk alone while he could talk with Natalie?
After
several weeks, Natalie asks Michael to meet her at their favorite cafรฉ. She
says that Natalie does not exist. She is just a ghost who died because of
depression. She says that she does not want Michael to be like her, because ‘a
perfect girl’ does not exist in this world.
THE
END.
How was it? I hope the new version is not that
terrible. Haha. If you want to watch the short movie, you can click the link on
the first paragraph of this blog. See you!๐
Thanks for sharing your version of that story. Next time, don't use that blue-highlight, please.
